An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Industry Analyst professional based in the United States to play a key role in the growth of the global Energy team. This position requires the candidate to help build our team by developing insightful strategic research, proactively supporting client engagement and business development activities.
The Energy team of Frost & Sullivan provides organisations with market analytics and insights that enable our clients to take advantage of the rapid pace of technology and business model evolution in global markets.
Key Responsibilities- Domain Expertise – Become a lead analyst/thought leader/subject matter expert in the Energy team, delivering value via strategic research, client engagement, global press, and social media outreach.
- Intellectual Property and Strategic Evaluation – Develop actionable, strategic, insightful, market intelligence based on primary and secondary market research on the technologies, and services that drive growth opportunities in the energy industry.
- Business Development – Maintain business relationships with regional and global companies by leading and participating in briefings with clients to inform them on the latest industry trends.
- Consulting Engagement – Occasional contributions to consulting projects under the guidance of senior advisory team members.
- A relevant university degree (BA, BS) in business, marketing, market research, economics, journalism, or technology.
- A minimum of 3 years of analyst experience working within a professional services/advisory/corporate business environment.
- The ability to deliver compelling presentations to clients on key industry trends and dynamics.
- An understanding of consulting/research/investigative journalism methodologies and business modelling (primary/secondary research, coherent story development).
- Desire, curiosity, and enthusiasm to build your expertise in the energy sector to become a respected thought leader.
- The ability to network to create new relationships and proactively manage ongoing relationships to stay relevant to the market intelligence needs of the clients.
- An analytical thought process, with outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Confident enough to present your work to a group of peers or a client and defend your analysis in a calm and professional manner.
- A team player who views team collaboration as an important path to professional development.
