Overview
The position serves as the Program Assistant to the Patient Administrative Service (PAS). Patient Administrative is a complex service consisting of multiple types of medical activities - including Inpatient - Outpatient - Purchasing - Clinical - & Budgeting functions at multiple sites within the STVHCS. This service requires an assistant who can coordinate - gather information - & write reports for the Service Chief & Administrative Officer (AO).
QualificationsTo qualify for this position - applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement - 02/02/2026. You may qualify based on your experience and/or education as described below:
Specialized
Experience:
You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-04 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include - but are not limited to: operating programs such as - Microsoft Office - CPRS - DHCP - ADP - TMS - VISTA - HSRM - and PPMS sufficient to enter and process items;
compiling and summarizing information and data - identify inaccuracies or anomalies in the information - and making written recommendations to resolve discrepancies based in interpretation of applicable regulations and procedures; AND analyzing financial reports to forward reports not in line with the guidelines to the service for review. OR
- Education:
Applicants may substitute education for the required experience. To qualify based on education for this grade level you must have 4 years above High School. OR - Combination:
Applicants may also combine education and experience to qualify at this level. You must have an combination of specialized experience and education beyond 4 years above High School. - Major Duties:
Assist in the recruitment process of in-processing new employees - Submit all timekeeping submissions for staff daily tour or duty
- Submit all staff premium pay requests
- Assist all staff for equipment orders
- Assist all staff for IT requests
- Acts as the record liaison officer for Community Care
- Arranges office moves
- Initiates personnel HR actions
- Primary sponsor for PIV
- Primary for ADPAC duties
- Work Schedule:
7:30 AM - 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM - Monday - Friday Virtual:
