Vaco is partnering with a client to identify an experienced Interim Senior Accountant to provide hands‑on accounting support through May 1, 2026
. This role is mostly remote, with occasional on‑site needs as required.
The Interim Senior Accountant will support month‑end close, prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations, and assist with financial reporting in accordance with GAAP. Additional responsibilities include balance sheet and income statement analysis, audit support, and partnering with cross‑functional teams to resolve accounting issues and improve processes.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and month‑end close
- Advanced Excel skills; ERP experience preferred
- CPA or CPA‑eligible preferred
- Ability to work independently and quickly add value in an interim environment
Compensation will be determined based on a wide array of factors. Salary range for this role is disclosed in this posting. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
