Sales and Use Tax - Accountant

Manufacturing / Construction Industry | Direct Hire | In-Office | Immediate Need

Our client, a well-established manufacturing/construction organization, is seeking an experienced Sales & Use Tax Accountant to join their team immediately.

This is a direct hire opportunity with a stable, growing company that values accuracy, accountability, and strong internal controls.

• Prepare and file multi-state sales & use tax returns
• Manage high-volume transaction review and taxability analysis
• Research and interpret tax regulations related to manufacturing and construction activities
• Reconcile tax accounts and resolve discrepancies
• Respond to tax notices and support audits
• Collaborate with internal accounting and operations teams to ensure compliance
• Maintain exemption certificates and documentation
• Assist with process improvements and internal controls

• Minimum 5 years of Sales & Use Tax experience
• Industry experience required (manufacturing and/or construction)
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (required)
• Strong knowledge of multi-state tax compliance
• Experience in high-volume environments
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Ability to work onsite (in-office role)
