We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to support a fast-paced construction environment with high-volume invoicing across multiple active projects
. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on organization, accuracy, and deadlines, and understands the nuances of construction accounting.
Process high-volume vendor and subcontractor invoices accurately and timely
Code invoices to the appropriate projects, cost codes, and general ledger accounts
Match invoices to POs, contracts, and receiving documentation
Review invoices for accuracy, compliance, and proper approvals
Maintain organized AP files and documentation by project
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
Assist with weekly check runs and electronic payments
Communicate professionally with vendors and internal project teams
Support month-end close related to AP
5+ years of Accounts Payable experience
, preferably in constructionExperience working in a high-volume, multi-project AP environment
Proficiency with Quick Books
Strong Excel skills (sorting, filtering, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables a plus)
Familiarity with job costing and construction cost structures
Stable, growing construction company
