Location: San Antonio, TX

• Oversee sales and use tax and property tax returns for all legal entities from compiling source data to reviewing filed tax returns.
• Work with business units, IT, and third‑party consultants to compile accurate data effectively.
• Ensure data ties to general ledger and payment request from third‑party preparers.
• Perform tax research and provide taxability guidance to stakeholders.
• Respond to GMB (tax mailbox) on inquiries related to tax within 48 hours.
• Write desktop procedures to document processes and modify as needed.
• File, pay and track business licenses.
• File refund claims for tax on accounts receivable.
• Review, approve and enter tax exemptions into the tax determination system.
• Troubleshoot purchase order taxability and related tax issues.
• Ensure compliance responsibilities in all states and businesses, evaluate state regulations and acceptable accounting practices, provide service to internal and external customers, and evaluate complete assignments for conformance with applicable policies, regulations and tax laws.
