Sr. Accountant

Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in San Antonio, Texas. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting processes and financial reporting, with a commitment to accuracy and attention to detail. This role is essential in ensuring the integrity of financial records and supporting the organization's overall financial health.

Responsibilities:

- Manage the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all accounting tasks.

- Oversee general ledger activities, including the preparation and review of entries to maintain accurate financial records.

- Prepare and post journal entries in compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

- Conduct thorough account reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies.

- Perform bank reconciliations to ensure alignment between bank statements and company records.

- Analyze financial data and reports to support decision-making and provide insights.

- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with accounting procedures and regulations.

- Identify opportunities for process improvements within accounting operations.

- Assist in audits by preparing necessary documentation and providing support to auditors. Requirements

+ Bachelor's degree in accounting

+ Proven experience in month-end close processes and general ledger management.

+ Proficiency in preparing and posting journal entries with high accuracy.

+ Expertise in account reconciliation and identifying discrepancies.

+ Knowledge of bank reconciliation procedures and financial statement alignment.

+ Strong understanding of accounting principles and standards.

+ Advanced proficiency in accounting software and tools.

+ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

+ Strong organizational and communication abilities to collaborate effectively across teams.
