Accounts Payable Specialist – Systems Group

Location: Northside San Antonio, TX

Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire

Pay Rate: $22/hr

The Accounts Payable Specialist – Systems Group supports high-volume invoice processing and systems-related AP functions. This role requires strong attention to detail, solid reconciliation skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

• Organize and process a high volume of invoices (average 100–200 per day)
• Perform quality checks on scanned invoices to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Process Excel upload files from external systems into People Soft
• Prepare account reconciliations as assigned
• Research vendor statements, past-due notices, and unidentified mail
• Perform basic clerical and administrative duties related to Accounts Payable
• Interface with all levels of the organization and manage expectations effectively
• Work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a project team
• Multitask and prioritize workload under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Escalate issues to management appropriately and in a timely manner

• Minimum 3 years of Accounts Payable experience (high-volume environment preferred)
• Intermediate account reconciliation skills
• Intermediate Excel proficiency
• Customer service experience
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Strong sense of accountability and sound personal judgment
• High attention to detail with strong accuracy, problem-solving, and follow-up skills
• Team-oriented mindset (reliable, adaptable, confident communicator, collaborative)
• Adobe software experience is a plus
• Purchase card administration experience is a plus
