Senior Accountant | San Antonio, TX | On Site | up to $95,000

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant
- Maintain general ledger accounts and supporting schedules for multiple entities
- Prepare and post journal entries and perform account reconciliations
- Assist with month end and year end close activities
- Support preparation of monthly and annual financial statements
- Track and reconcile bank activity across multiple accounts
- Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules
- Record payroll related entries and reconcile to third party reports
- Monitor accounts receivable activity and support basic property or project accounting functions
- Assist with audit requests and provide supporting documentation
- Help identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls
- Prepare financial reports and analysis as requested
- Support accounting system updates or implementations as needed
Qualifications we’re looking for in a Senior Accountant
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- 3 to 5 years of progressive accounting experience
- Experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Exposure to fixed assets and depreciation preferred
- CPA preferred but not required
- Experience with ERP or accounting systems such as Yardi is a plus
