The Project Accountant is responsible for managing all financial aspects of assigned construction projects within the Industrial Business Unit. This includes maintaining accurate project cost information, ensuring proper financial controls, and providing regular financial reporting to project managers and senior leadership. The Project Accountant will collaborate closely with project teams to ensure financial success and compliance with company policies and procedures.

• Ensure timely and accurate ERP integrations between Procore, Viewpoint and Textura
• Reconcile, validate and correct data entries within Procore, Viewpoint and Textura
• Prepare, analyze, and distribute monthly project financial reports and oversee timely AP and expense cost approvals
• Prepare and assist in tax returns and government licensing
• Support the generation and submission of timely and accurate project invoices to clients and assist in outstanding accounts receivable, ensuring timely collection of payments
• Setup side jobs and maintain accurate revenue and cost records
• Participate in project meetings as needed to provide financial insights and updates
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to resolve financial issues and concerns
• Ensure compliance with company financial policies and procedures; conduct regular audits of project financials to ensure accuracy and integrity
• Assist in the development and implementation of improved financial controls and processes

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in project accounting preferred, preferably in the construction industry
• Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems; experience with construction-specific software preferred
• Strong understanding of project cost accounting and financial reporting required
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
