AP Accountant

Vaco is seeking an experienced Interim Accounting / Accounts Payable Specialist for a client in a fast-paced, on-site environment. This role primarily focuses on Accounts Payable while contributing across core accounting functions. The schedule for this position is 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM
, and the assignment is interim in nature.

The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on accounting experience and is comfortable jumping in quickly to identify, analyze, and correct issues. This role requires someone who can manage multiple priorities, work independently, and thrive in a small, high-energy team.

• Manage full-cycle Accounts Payable, with exposure to AR, cash, inventory, and financial reporting
• Perform detailed reconciliations and assist with accounting clean-up, including prior-year data
• Support audit preparation and documentation requests
• Utilize Excel for data analysis, including pivots and VLOOKUPs
• Work within Quick Books and assist with an upcoming transition to Net Suite

• Strong hands-on accounting experience across AP, AR, and reconciliations
• Advanced Excel skills
• Strong attention to detail, positive attitude, and ability to multitask

• Retail and/or food & beverage experience
• Accounting degree
