Positions SummaryThe Accountant is responsible for contributing to TRDI's mission to "Create and Enhance Life Opportunities for People with Barriers & Disabilities" and our core values of Integrity, Innovation, Compassion, Communication, and Courage. This role supports TRDI’s Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) and aligns with the Business Plan. It involves establishing relationships with Federal, State, Local Governments, Universities, and Private sectors, and collaborating internally and externally to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local government regulations.
PrimaryDuties and Responsibilities
- Process recurring contract monthly and weekly invoices using the Wide Are Work Flow (WAWF) or other methods as specified.
- Submit copy of billings to POC and DODACC in accordance with contract specifications.
- Maintain a master contract abstract sheet, current and track CLINs for funding, payments, and de‑obligated amounts.
- Record revenue on an accrual basis using Sage Intacct.
- Generate revenue aging reports; analyze and report on revenue variations monthly or as requested.
- Follow up, investigate, and resolve outstanding invoices using DFAS, MyInvoice links, and/or coordination with the Contract Administrator or Contracting Officer.
- Record payments received into customer accounts; ensure physical checks are deposited to the appropriate business bank account.
- Apply FAR regulations and Service Contract Act Wage Determination or Collective Bargaining Agreement.
- Prepare monthly payment requests for Source America program fees and submit to accounts payable.
- Reconcile de‑obligated amounts on request or at end of each contract year.
- Maintain electronic customer files including proposals, contract pricing, contracts, modifications, performance work statements, renewals, correspondence, deliverables, and payment schedules.
- Reconcile reimbursable costs as applicable.
- Provide continuous communication, support and training to project managers and other personnel for implementation of all areas defined above.
- Continuously update job knowledge and evaluate internal operational processes to determine competitive current trends.
- Participate in conferences and educational opportunities; read professional publications; maintain professional networks; represent TRDI in the community.
- Participate on committees and special projects and seek additional responsibilities.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting or related field.
- 3 years relevant work and leadership experience in a multi‑location environment; or 5 additional years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
- Advanced knowledge of Sage 100 or Sage Intacct.
- Extensive working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Strong interpersonal skills for interacting at all levels.
- Excellent communication skills both orally and in writing.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, set priorities, and see projects through completion.
Physical Requirements:
While performing duties, individuals will sit for long periods working in front of a computer and lift or move objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. It routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptops, photocopiers, phones, and smartphones.
