Senior Accounting Manager - Payroll Accounting

The Senior Accounting Manager reports to the AVP of Accounting and is responsible for managing the company’s accounting practices and policies, preparing financial statements in accordance with GAAP, leading associated audits, supervising staff, and providing timely financial information for business analysis.

• Prepare, examine, or analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness and conformance to reporting and procedural standards for all SS&E franchises, including the Rock.
• Audit, monitor, recognize, and report any discrepancies or suspicious accounting activities.
• Plan and prepare budget reporting processes, upload budgets into the accounting system, produce budget financial reports, and review areas of concern with cost‑center managers.
• Manage general accounting staff, support their professional growth and development, assess performance and provide consistent feedback.
• Prepare and/or review schedules requested by auditors or tax professionals and monitor external reporting to the leagues for gate receipts and sales tax processing.
• Oversee and/or prepare franchise league reporting.
• Collaborate with the AVP on process improvements, automation opportunities, and policy implementation.
• Partner cross‑functionally with business unit leaders to explain financial results, identify risks and recommend corrective actions.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• 7–10 years of accounting experience, with 2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience with Sage Intacct or a similar accounting software package.
• CPA or MBA is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize work when juggling multiple projects.
• Ability to work in a dynamic team environment with all levels of the organization.

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Ability to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
• Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, data entry and handling office materials.
• Visual acuity to review detailed financial information, spreadsheets and reports.
• Occasional walking, standing or bending during meetings or access files.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with multiple deadlines and competing priorities.
