Job Summary: This position manages accounting functions such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, etc. by providing leadership and direction to the function’s staff. The incumbent in this position is expected to model the following practices on a daily basis:

3) Participate in ongoing self-development.

Qualifications and Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required;
    Master’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred
  • Certified Public Accounting (CPA) required
  • Minimum seven years of applicable experience required
  • Three to four years of supervisory and management experience required
  • Comprehensive knowledge of business accounting principles, budget preparation, and strong business acumen
  • Advanced expert knowledge of GAAP (generally accepted accounting principles) as it applies to the industry and company
  • Advanced knowledge of the fundamental audit strategies that include policies, procedures, and best practices in addition to emerging audit practices and trends
  • Advanced knowledge of computerized ERP systems and understanding of the integration of accounting systems
  • Advanced understanding of MS Office products
  • Strong research, problem‑solving, and investigation skills
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, including both written and oral
  • Ability to work in fast fast‑paced environment with frequent interruptions
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to establish working relationships with multiple departments and various levels of the organization
  • Excellent organizational, planning, multi‑tasking, and time management skills, deadline‑oriented
  • Ability to work independently, manage and develop a team in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
Essential Functions
  • Hires, develops, evaluates, and influences effective and consistent productivity and teamwork to ensure the delivery of Legendary Customer Service (LCS)
  • Models, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT’s Values‑Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission
  • Supports direct Supervisor, Finance Leaders, and other Leaders in the company through planning, coordination, and implementation of special internal financial reports, assigned projects, and activities
  • Responsible for the execution of accounting functions to include the monthly financial close, posting of month‑end information, executing tax‑related reporting processes, and the reconciliation of general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Provides accounting assistance to business units, vendor payments, and responds to financial questions/concerns to meet business needs
  • Collaborates with other business units to support the successful execution of vendor payments and payment terms
  • Assigns, delegates, and coordinates the work of accounting staff to ensure department objectives are timely met
  • Answers and resolves escalated customer (internal/external) questions and needs
  • Compiles and analyzes financial information and departmental metrics
  • Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards
  • Performs other duties as assigned
