Position Summary:

Want to make a lot of people’s day? Our Member Frontline Cashier Associates are the heart of our front end. You may be the first, last, and sometimes only associate our members interact with. That’s why it’s important to smile, greet, and thank each and every member. We are looking for friendly faces to run registers and support our members through the self-checkout experience.

The pace can be fast, especially in the evenings, on weekends, and during holidays. You may juggle several tasks in a short amount of time while helping members: scanning items, processing payments, and maintaining a clean area. It’s hard work, but our cashiers find it rewarding as part of a large team with a common goal: happy, satisfied members.

Maintains safety of facility according to company policies and procedures by conducting safety sweeps; following forklift spotting procedures; handling and disposing of hazardous materials; following standard guidelines; and reporting unsafe situations to facility management.

Provides member service by acknowledging the member and identifying needs; assisting with purchasing decisions; locating merchandise; resolving issues; promoting products and services; supporting member self-service technology; processing purchases; assisting members with payments; handling transactions at registers or self-checkout; zoning area; and organizing merchandise.

Complies with company policies, procedures, and ethics by implementing action plans; using the Open Door Policy; and applying these in business processes and practices.

Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and partners; identifying priorities and deadlines; carrying out tasks; communicating progress; and identifying opportunities for improvement.
