Culinary Server – Buckner Retirement Services, Inc.

Location: San Angelo – Onsite, 902-903 N Main St, San Angelo, TX 76903

Job Schedule: Full Time

• Bus tables and wash off tables after meals.
• Prepare beverages and food as required.
• Serve food in dining rooms or other areas.
• Serve beverages to residents as required.
• Blend food in an electric blender; prepare steam table.
• Prepare hot cart and serve food; clean and sanitize carts.
• Wash dishes, scrape and rack dishes, and store clean dishes.
• Mop, sweep, and clean work area.
• Take out trash.
• Wrap silverware.
• Receive and store groceries, frozen foods, produce, etc.; date and rotate canned goods.
• Detect and correct or report situations that could cause accidents or injuries to residents or others.
• Observe and report resident symptoms, reactions, and changes.
• Participate in in‑service training.
• Maintain compliance with Buckner policies, procedures, and requirements, as well as all federal, state, and agency regulatory guidelines.

• High School diploma or GED.
• Ability to read, write and understand English business documents.
• Effective verbal communication with residents, families, visitors and co‑workers.
• Ability to follow basic written and oral step‑by‑step instructions.
• Ability to move food serving and preparation equipment, using up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and up to 10 pounds frequently.
• Ability to perform tasks requiring reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, push, pull, stand and walk for 75% of the shift.
• Ability to use kitchen equipment safely and recognize problems by sound.
• Must work under close supervision performing routine, standardized tasks.
• Must cooperate with other employees and consider residents’ well‑being.
• Ability to learn basic food serving, cleanliness and sanitation requirements.
• Commitment to Christian principles and teachings, both professionally and personally.
• Good health; employees with infectious disease or skin lesions that are communicable are not permitted to work.
• Ability to comply with patient rights, regulatory requirements, and all company policies and procedures.
