Job specification
- Monitor and assess patients' vital signs, level of consciousness, and pain levels following anesthesia.
- Administer medications and fluids as needed, ensuring adherence to PACU protocols and individualized patient care plans.
- Provide thorough, compassionate care while preparing patients for discharge or transfer to other departments.
- Maintain clear, accurate patient records and report critical changes in patient's conditions to the healthcare team.
- Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.
- A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred; an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) is considered with relevant experience.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in PACU, ICU, or a similar critical care environment.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required.
- Demonstrated ability to manage patient care with high levels of compassion and professionalism.
