a Facilities Technician I, you will:
- Provide cleaning and basic facilities support to help maintain a safe, clean, and functional workplace
- Perform daily cleaning and minor maintenance support throughout the facility
- Clean and sanitize restrooms and kitchen areas daily in accordance with Workplace Safety Policies
- Vacuum, sweep, mop, and clean floors and other surfaces; and shampoo carpets and rugs as needed
- Maintain and renew floor surface finishes
- Collect and dispose of trash and debris daily
- Dust and wax furniture, fixtures, doors, trim, and related furnishings
- Clean windows, glass doors, interior glass, partitions, frames, and pictures
- Maintain buildings and grounds in a clean and sanitary condition
- Complete and maintain documentation for daily, weekly, and monthly facility and equipment checklists
- Perform minor repairs to fixtures and hardware (doors, windows, minor appliances, office equipment, etc.)
- Assemble, disassemble, move, and install office furniture and fixtures
- Support occasional weekend work to minimize workplace disruption (e.g., carpet cleaning)
- Perform other duties as assigned
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
- Strong attention to detail
- Basic knowledge of custodial duties and janitorial duties
- Experience using cleaning equipment (vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, applying floor finishes)
- Ability of maintaining facilities equipment in a clean, safe, and operable condition
- Must have availability to work early morning and/or evening hours as needed
- Must be physically capable of performing custodial and facilities tasks daily
- Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods
- Ability lift up to 50 pounds as needed
