Position will be open until filled.
We are currently seeking
:
A planner to join our team and perform professional urban planning work and explains planning and zoning regulations and City standards for development projects and technical issues.
Your responsibilities will include
:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Requirements and Skills- Interpreting and applying land use regulations, zoning enforcement, and state and Federal laws.
- Checking designs, details, estimates, plans, and specifications of planning projects.
- Maintaining accurate and interrelated technical records.
- Organizing, evaluating, analyzing, and presenting data and information.
- Interpreting technical documents and map specifications.
- Establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with co‑workers.
- Effective verbal and written communication.
Education and Experience: Master’s Degree in Urban Planning; or a Bachelor’s Degree in Urban Planning, Geography, Landscape Architecture, Public Administration, or related field and one year of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Licenses or Certifications
:
- Must possess a valid driver license with a good driving record.
- Applicants with an out-of-state driver license must provide an original certified driving record from the state of driving licensure.
Physical Demands / Work Environment:
Work is performed in a standard office environment.
