Job SummaryProvides professional customer service and information processing support for the Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships. Assists students and families with questions regarding federal, state, and institutional aid programs, as well as general admissions and enrollment information. Helps monitor front counter operations to ensure a high level of service and performs general office and administrative support duties.
Typical Duties- Provide front-line customer service in person, by phone, and via email; respond to general questions regarding financial aid and scholarship policies and processes, referring complex inquiries to appropriate staff.
- Under the supervision of the direct supervisor, manage the intake and processing of financial aid and scholarship documents; collect, review, upload, and distribute forms; update tracking requirements; and maintain document imaging systems.
- Assist with the verification process by reviewing information in Banner and Workflow systems for accuracy and communicating with applicants regarding outstanding requirements.
- Maintain current knowledge of federal, state, and institutional financial aid policies and procedures.
- Assist with the training and oversight of student workers.

- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as an effective member of a team.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and institutional financial aid programs, as well as financial aid and scholarship philosophies, policies, and fundamental procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working in an office environment with customer service responsibilities.
- Ability to perform effectively in high-volume or high-stress situations.
- Working knowledge of general financial aid and scholarship policies and processes.
- Completion of college coursework and/or experience in a higher education setting.
