City of Sammamish is seeking a Lead Traffic Signal Technician to oversee the maintenance, repair, and operation of our traffic signal systems and infrastructure.

The role involves coordinating daily operations, maintenance, and repair efforts of the traffic signal crew, serving as a field site technical lead, and maintaining the city's ITS network, traffic control devices, and streetlights. Responsibilities include updating maintenance records, supervising staff, assisting in planning and budgeting, and ensuring compliance with standards and safety regulations.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, four years of related experience, and relevant certifications such as I.M.S.A. Level II or III and electrician certification. Preferred qualifications include seven years of experience with electronic control devices and systems.

Must possess knowledge of traffic systems, troubleshooting, electrical codes, and the use of electronic testing equipment. Skills required include interpreting electrical schematics, reading plans, troubleshooting complex electronic systems, and effective communication. Ability to work at heights, respond flexibly to work demands, and maintain a professional and customer-oriented approach are essential.
