Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Assistant Professor Pharmacology with 3–6 years of teaching experience in a recognized medical college. The candidate will be responsible for undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, research, academic coordination, and departmental responsibilities as per NMC guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver lectures, tutorials, and practical demonstrations to MBBS students.
Guide and mentor students in academic and research activities.
Participate in curriculum development and academic planning.
Conduct internal assessments and assist in university examinations.
Supervise practical labs and maintain departmental records.
Participate in research activities and publish in indexed journals.
Assist in pharmacovigilance programs and ADR monitoring.
Organize CMEs, seminars, workshops, and academic activities.
Perform administrative and institutional duties as assigned.
Required Education (Detailed Explanation):
MBBS Degree
Must have completed MBBS from a recognized medical college approved by NMC.
MD in Pharmacology (Mandatory)
Postgraduate degree (MD Pharmacology) from a recognized institution.
The qualification must be recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC).
Medical Registration:
Valid registration with the National Medical Commission (NMC) or respective State Medical Council.
Teaching Experience (3–6 Years):
Experience as Senior Resident / Tutor / Lecturer in Pharmacology in a recognized medical college as per NMC norms.
Research Publications:
At least one research publication in an indexed/national journal (as per latest NMC guidelines preferred).
Required Skills:
Strong subject knowledge in General and Clinical Pharmacology.
Ability to integrate clinical correlation with teaching.
Good communication and presentation skills.
Research orientation and academic writing ability.
Proficiency in digital teaching platforms and MS Office.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in handling postgraduate teaching.
Participation in research projects or funded grants.
Experience in pharmacovigilance or clinical trials.
Attendance in Faculty Development Programs (FDPs).
