HGV Class 1 Tramper Driver

Overview

Long-haul driving across the UK, often spending nights away in your vehicle. Bay-to-bay deliveries with no manual handling. You will drive a modern, well-maintained fleet and should be confident in basic navigation and journey planning.

• Deliver freight across the UK via bay-to-bay operations, with nights away in your vehicle.
• Follow all road safety rules and company policies, including rest breaks and driving hours.
• Carry out daily checks and report any issues to maintain a reliable, safe fleet.
• Use SNAP accounts and fuel cards for on-the-road efficiency.
• Maintain consistent work with 5 consecutive tramping shifts Sun-Fri.

• Full UK C+E License (Class
  1): valid to operate articulated vehicles.
• Minimum 2 years of HGV experience: proven confidence on UK roads and understanding of industry expectations.
• Clean license preferred: accepted up to 6 points, but no serious endorsements such as TT (disqualification), DR (drink driving), or IN (insurance offences).
• Fluency in English language (preferred).
• UK road law knowledge: understanding the Highway Code, rest break rules, and HGV-specific regulations.
• Right to work in the UK: valid documents confirming eligibility.
• Safety first: be prepared to pass pre-employment screening (drug and alcohol test, background check).
