Scope of Role
The Lead Warehouse Associate plays a crucial role in the logistics and supply chain operations of a company. The Lead Warehouse Associate will oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and accuracy. This role requires leadership skills, inventory management expertise, and the ability to coordinate with various departments to streamline processes.
Key Objectives and Responsibilities- Supervise warehouse associates and oversee daily tasks.
- Manage inventory levels, stock organization, and order fulfillment.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and warehouse regulations.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment as needed.
- Track incoming and outgoing shipments and verify documentation accuracy.
- Train and mentor new hires, fostering a positive team environment.
- Collaborate with logistics and operations teams to optimize warehouse workflow.
- Identify areas for improvement and implement efficiency-driven strategies.
- Ship materials through Fed-Ex.
- Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills.
- Knowledge of inventory control systems and warehouse software.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Effective communication and leadership abilities.
- Customer service skills.
- Proficient computer and Microsoft Office skills.
- High school diploma or GED; additional certifications in warehouse management preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in warehouse operations, including leadership roles.
- Lifting Capacity – ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Mobility – prolonged periods on feet, standing, bending, etc.
- Exposure – moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and non‑climate‑controlled environment.
- Customer service skills.
- Proficient computer and Microsoft Office skills.
