Distributor Driver

Overview

Step into a skilled role operating a 3,000‑gallon distributor truck to transport and apply asphalt emulsion on roads, highways, parking lots, and more. Seasonal work includes truck‑and‑pup, transfer, or belt‑trailer driving, all while operating equipment safely and efficiently under supervisor direction.

• Operate an asphalt distributor truck with precision and safety.
• Drive truck & pup, transfer, or belt trailer during the off‑season.
• Set and adjust spray bars for proper asphalt application.
• Apply liquid asphalt accurately with strong attention to detail.
• Connect and disconnect pup trailers as needed.
• Follow all safety, FMCSA, and OSHA regulations.
• Maintain dependable attendance to keep crew operations running smoothly.
• Work professionally with coworkers, customers, and the public.
• Perform manual labor and basic equipment maintenance.
• Assist other crew members to complete jobs efficiently.
• Adapt to schedule, shift, and location changes, including overtime.
• Use required PPE and maintain equipment in good condition.
• Work in extreme weather conditions.

• High school diploma or GED required education requirement.
• Two years of related experience or training preferred related experience.
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered equivalent qualifications.

• Valid Class A CDL with Tanker Endorsement required CDL qualification.
• Valid DOT Medical Card required DOT medical card.

• One to two years of relevant experience or training work background.
• Clean or incident‑free driving record preferred driving record standard.
• Must be able to pass required drug and alcohol testing, medical exams, and physical ability assessments .
