Case Manager in Salt Lake City, Utah!!
The LIHTC case manager provides direct case management and stabilization services to clients that are in homeless set-asides in partnership with LIHTC properties and management that First Step House is subcontracted with. The goals of this position are to
1) Provide individualized case management and stabilization services to residents residing in homeless set-aside units at LIHTC projects
2) coordinate with LIHTC projects for referrals to the set-asides and other low income units
3) Utilize progressive engagement to tailor services to the needs of the household to assist them in maintaining housing stability
The role of the LIHTC case manager is to coordinate with partnered LIHTC properties for referrals to homeless set asides and engaging the units in case management services once housed to increase housing stability. The LIHTC case manager assists in other administrative tasks as needed and works in concert with the priorities of the Executive Director, the Senior Management Team, and the Board of Directors

- Pay Range: $ 46,353.60

Education and Experience
- Case management experience is required
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree in social work or related field is preferred
- Experience in the housing field is preferred
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Screen clients for eligibility for homeless set-aside units at LIHTC properties
- Outreach to other partner agencies for coordinating applications for LIHTC units/properties
- Regular meetings with property management at the LIHTC properties
- Assist tenants and property management with any paperwork or gathering documents needed to LIHTC compliance
- Performs needs assessments with clients
- Develops case management plan with each client and meets regularly to review progress
- Collaborates with outside agencies to connect clients with employment services, education resources, healthcare programs, housing programs, and other relevant community resources
- Collaborates with counselors, case workers, and outside agencies to deliver case management services
- Performs regular individual case-management sessions
- Complete monthly home visits and inspections of units for cleanliness and maintenance of project units
- Uses internal tracking system to ensure proper, accurate, and timely billing
- Uses the Utah Web Infrastructure for Treatment Services (UWITS) database to enter case-management notes, client information updates, billing information and other relevant client information
