Journeyman Electrician

Precision Electrical Systems, Inc of Salt Lake City, UT is searching for a full-time Licensed Electrical Journeyman to join our team. Can you design, organize, and execute electrical construction projects? Can you expertly install control circuits and other components? This full-time Journeyman Electrician position receives a competitive salary commensurate with experience and position responsibilities. As a full-time journeyman electrician, you would also be eligible for an excellent benefits package, including medical, dental, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability, a 401(k) plan, and paid personal time (PTO).

• Plan/Install new or modified electrical installations for commercial and residential projects, troubleshoot electrical problems and carry out effective plans for repairing problems
• Installations must be consistent with specifications and local building and electrical codes.
• Have the ability to follow diagrams, schematics, and blueprints
• Using proper electrical tools, the candidate must be proficient in measuring, cutting, bending, threading, assembly, and electrical raceways
• Knowledge of OSHA Standards
• Knowledge of the installation of tray cable, heat trace, rigid conduit bending and threading
• Skill in planning, designing, organizing, and executing electrical upgrade projects
• Ability to communicate technical information, listen to instructions and ask questions, as necessary
• Ability to perform assigned work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to train and supervise apprentice electricians
• Typical working schedule of Monday-Friday (7:00 am – 3:00 pm) with the option to work Monday-Thursday (7:00 am – 5:00 pm) depending on the project. Some overnight/out of town work with travel and per diem provided

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a four-year certified apprenticeship program
• An active Utah Journeyman license
• Relevant experience
• Ability to pass a background check and drug test
• Valid driver s license and clean driving record
• Ability to lift up to 100lbs

License/Certification:

• Journeyman Electrician License (Required)
