Technology Service Technician

Overview

Hunt Electric, Inc. is hiring a Technology Service Technician to support our clients with troubleshooting and installation of low voltage systems. The position is based in Utah with more than 30 years of experience in the cabling industry.

• Self-reliant with the ability to troubleshoot low voltage systems.
• Manage service calls and small jobs.
• Experience with Bluebeam, Excel, Outlook, Word, and scheduling software.
• Match Electrical Schedule; complete FOCUS/PTP forms, process change/work orders, and create and process purchase orders.
• Provide excellent communication with customers and coworkers; maintain a positive attitude and leadership skills.
• Coordinate job tasks with customers and complete them in a timely manner.
• General installation and termination of system cabling.
• Dress and terminate communication closets, patch panels, Cat5e-6A, Coax, AV, Security, and DAS systems.
• Assist with uploading cable testing results to the project cloud.
• Understand methods for building closets and frames.
• Terminate all types of fiber optic cable.
• Read and understand construction blueprints and drawings; understand AV, DAS, SEC, Wi-Fi hardware and cabling standards.
• Other duties or locations assigned by Manager.

• Five years’ minimum field experience with two years of field management; four to six years’ experience in the ITS field.
• Knowledge of color codes for fiber and copper.
• Understanding of all fire stopping procedures and techniques.
• Hold at least four manufacturer certifications.
• Dependable and punctual with good troubleshooting skills.

This is a full-time position with a typical schedule:
Monday – Thursday 7:00am – 4:30pm and Friday 7:00am – 2:00pm.
