We are seeking a skilled and experienced Underground Excavator to support underground piping and utility projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with trenchless excavation methods, pipeline rehabilitation, and heavy equipment operation. This role focuses on performing high-quality excavation work safely, efficiently, and in alignment with project requirements.
Responsibilities- Perform excavation tasks including trenchless installations, open-cut excavations, and shoring system setup.
- Operate and maintain heavy equipment such as excavators, backhoes, trenchers, and directional drilling equipment.
- Assist with pipeline lining and rehabilitation using approved methods.
- Follow all safety regulations, company policies, and jobsite procedures.
- Read and follow blueprints, plans, and specifications as required.
- Work collaboratively with the crew to complete daily tasks and meet project goals.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Proven experience as an Underground Excavator or similar role.
- Knowledge of trenchless excavation techniques (horizontal directional drilling, pipe ramming, microtunneling).
- Experience with pipeline lining and rehabilitation methods such as CIPP, sliplining, or spray-applied liners.
- Proficiency in operating excavators, backhoes, trenchers, directional drilling equipment, and related machinery.
- Strong understanding of underground utility construction practices and OSHA safety standards.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Solid problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
