Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Underground Excavator to support underground piping and utility projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with trenchless excavation methods, pipeline rehabilitation, and heavy equipment operation. This role focuses on performing high-quality excavation work safely, efficiently, and in alignment with project requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Perform excavation tasks including trenchless installations, open-cut excavations, and shoring system setup.
  • Operate and maintain heavy equipment such as excavators, backhoes, trenchers, and directional drilling equipment.
  • Assist with pipeline lining and rehabilitation using approved methods.
  • Follow all safety regulations, company policies, and jobsite procedures.
  • Read and follow blueprints, plans, and specifications as required.
  • Work collaboratively with the crew to complete daily tasks and meet project goals.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills And Experience
  • Proven experience as an Underground Excavator or similar role.
  • Knowledge of trenchless excavation techniques (horizontal directional drilling, pipe ramming, microtunneling).
  • Experience with pipeline lining and rehabilitation methods such as CIPP, sliplining, or spray-applied liners.
  • Proficiency in operating excavators, backhoes, trenchers, directional drilling equipment, and related machinery.
  • Strong understanding of underground utility construction practices and OSHA safety standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Solid problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
