OverviewThe Crew Leader will lead single crews in performing vacuum and hydro blasting services to safely and effectively complete hydro blasting and vacuuming jobs at industrial facilities. The Crew Leader is responsible for overseeing the daily activities of the crew, as well as performing all installation, repair, maintenance, and testing tasks on client and customer projects while maintaining the highest level of safety and precaution.
Responsibilities- Lead and coach crew members, offer feedback, assist crews, and train new employees in completion of the job duties in accordance with all company and client policies.
- Ensure all equipment is functioning. Able to hydro blast utilizing a shotgun.
- Have general knowledge of all Hydro Blast Pumps (10K, 20K, 40K).
- Have general knowledge of Liquid Vacuum and Air Machine Trucks.
- Load out hydro blast and vacuum truck jobs, i.e., be familiar with all pieces of equipment necessary to complete the required job scope safely and effectively.
- Inspect all aspects of work from the jobsite to equipment before commencing work.
- Complete Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and all applicable safety paperwork.
- Ensure OSHA safety rules and regulations are followed consistently, and report any issues, concerns, or incidents to management.
- Complete required documentation in a timely manner and by required deadlines.
- Assist in general maintenance of company equipment, service, grease, etc.
- Wash and clean company equipment – pressure wash, clean cabs, etc.
- General housekeeping – sweep floors, take out trash, and help keep work areas clean and organized.
- Help with future job load outs or unloads from previous jobs – return equipment and PPE to designated areas.
- Perform manual labor to complete tasks associated with service lines performed by USA Debusk and assist to drive project deadlines.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2-4 years’ experience in refinery or construction (preferred)
- Lead or Supervisory experience a plus
- Able to hydro blast utilizing a shotgun
- Valid TWIC Card – if recently applied for it, a receipt will suffice for interview purposes or the ability to obtain a TWIC card
- Valid Driver’s license
- Must be capable of passing a hair follicle and urine drug screen
- Excellent verbal and written communication required
- Plus, refinery contractor experience
- Plus, pipeline experience
- Able to work shifts up to 12-16 hours (day or night), both indoors and outdoors in the sun, which requires being on your feet
- Ability to travel for out of town up to 25% of the time. Be On Call 24/7
- Complete all safety training requirements
- Must be capable of setting up equipment for the job including lifting and carrying hoses that may weigh up to 50 lbs
- Required to work at elevations and wear fall protection harnesses
- Ability to work in confined spaces for 4-7 hours per day; stand or walk for long periods
