Job SummaryLooking for 3 positions from entry level to more experienced HVAC technicians to join our utilities team taking care of our main cooling plants and smaller remote cooling plants. Training and growth opportunities abound. As part of our utilities team you will be helping to keep our entire campus cooled year-round working on small units to units as large as 2,000 tons.
Additionally, you will learn how to perform simple to advanced maintenance and how to utilize our Building Automation System for operation and troubleshooting of our many systems.
As a member of the Facilities Management team, you will enjoy working in a stable Higher Education environment with plenty of opportunities to apply what you know while learning new skills. HVAC Technician, II
Install and repair facility heating, ventilation, and air conditioning ( HVAC ) systems. Perform efficiency tests on HVAC equipment to ensure optimal function. Make recommendations for organization in order to improve efficiency or operation. Assist in the design of new facility’s plumbing systems. Ensure all HVAC systems are in compliance with local or national regulatory requirements. May require certification in use of refrigerants.
Completes routine tasks under moderate supervision.
Requires at least 1 year of related experience.
This is an Intermediate Level position in the Support track.
