Line Working Foreman (Local 57) - #113514

Pacifi Corp is seeking a Line Working Foreman to install, maintain and repair transmission and distribution electrical systems and equipment, both overhead and underground, using line trucks, aerial boom lifts and wire pulling equipment. The role involves pole climbing, hot sticking and working from bucket lifts to construct, repair or maintain line equipment, string, splice and sag wire on live or dead circuits.

The employee may train and direct a trainee and must be available on-call.

As the Line Working Foreman, you will:

• Install, maintain and repair transmission and distribution electrical systems and associated equipment (overhead and underground).
• Operate line trucks, aerial booms, lifts and wire pulling equipment.
• Perform pole climbing, hot sticking, and work from bucket lifts to construct, repair or maintain line equipment.
• String, splice and sag wire on live or dead circuits.
• Operate switches and cutouts and use grounding devices to work on de-energized lines and equipment.
• May train and direct the work of a trainee in the trade.
• Must be available on-call.

• High School Diploma, GED, or proof of equivalent.
• Completion of a formal training program for a Journeyman Lineman.
• Must meet examining board review of skills and experience.
• Journeyman Lineman certification or testing through IBEW Local 57.
• Must possess a Class A Commercial Driver's License.

This position may require a post-offer, pre-placement physical capacity screening conducted by a licensed physical therapist. The screening will assess only the identified physical demands of the job. Persons transferring within the same job classifications where the physical demands are the same will not need a physical capacity test.

• Require lifting in excess of 75 lbs, from floor to waist and waist to overhead.
• Carrying in excess of 75 lbs with both hands; pushing and pulling in excess of 100 lbs.
• Sustained, awkward postures including bending, twisting, reaching, and overhead work.
• Forceful grip and pinch; manipulation of small objects; balancing on one or both legs during dynamic activities.
• Manipulation of large objects while maintaining balance during sustained awkward postures.

• Preference given to applicants with 5 or more years of experience as a Journeyman Lineman.
