IntroductionWe are seeking a Technical Sales Support Specialist for Hydromet to join our Metso team. In this role, you will play a key part in executing our product strategy, driving sales growth, and supporting profitability across the Market Area. You will collaborate closely with Account Managers and Product Specialists to develop high value solutions for customers and support the expansion of our business.
This position may be performed remotely, with up to 30% travel to engage directly with internal teams, customers, and site operations.
What you’ll do- Drive product strategy to increase sales growth and profitability across the Market Area.
- Provide technical sales support—including drawings, specs, and documentation—through Salesforce Opportunities.
- Deliver expert product support, troubleshooting, and technical analysis for customers and sales teams.
- Develop and present customer value solutions, value propositions, and win plans.
- Identify new business opportunities, promote new product designs, and strengthen customer relationships.
- Manage regional sales targets, competitive insights, pricing guidance, and negotiations.
- Perform product inspections, support warranty/complaint reviews, and maintain CRM equipment data.
- Collaborate with R&D, lead internal technical training, and elevate issues as needed.
- Engineering degree or relevant technical experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience, including interpreting customer specifications, customer relations, or similar functions.
- Exceptional customer service orientation with a passion for delivering high levels of satisfaction.
- Ability to understand and evaluate customer needs, including occasional plant visits.
- A proactive problem solver who is eager to engage and support continuous improvement.
- Highly proficient with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Salesforce, and SAP.
- Motivated, resilient, and able to perform effectively under pressure while meeting deadlines.
- Strong results driven mindset with demonstrated performance orientation.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills for managing both internal and external relationships.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously—prioritizing effectively and thriving in a fast paced environment.
- Skilled at building internal partnerships and understanding customer needs and market requirements.
