The Department of Alcoholic Beverage Services has openings for part-time retail sales clerks at state liquor stores. Apply in person at the state liquor store of your choice.

Salary is dependent upon location.

• Use your customer service skills to assist the public.
• Ensure that all sales are made only to customers 21 and over.
• Perform cashiering duties.
• Mark and display product for sale.
• Contribute to the department's service-focused mission by providing superior customer service.
• Assist in receiving and storing merchandise.
• Processes transactions at a cash register, gives correct change and closes till at end of shift.
• Assists customers in finding products, making selections and purchasing items.
• Screens for intoxication, checks identification, and watches for shoplifters.
• Conducts regular and/or spot check inventories of merchandise, supplies, or equipment.
• Ensures that there is an adequate supply of materials available; orders, receives, inspects, and stores equipment, merchandise, commodities, materials, and/or supplies.
• Receives and fills liquor orders for clubs, restaurants, and hotels as required.
• Maintains building(s) and/or facilities in a clean and orderly condition and/or removes snow from sidewalks and doorways, etc.

• 21 years of age or older.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Able to work a flexible schedule.
• Able to provide excellent customer service.
• Able to pass a criminal background check.

• DABS stores are closed on Sundays and all state and federal holidays.

• Work requires physical exertion. May require the ability to stand; walk over rough surfaces; bend, crouch, stoop, stretch, reach, lift moderately heavy items (up to 50 lbs.) in a recurring manner and/or for long periods of time.
