The Hilton Salt Lake City Center is looking for an experienced Grill Cook to join Spencer's Steaks & Chops. Spencer’s Steak & Chops is a refined, long‑standing steakhouse known for serving USDA Prime steaks, fresh seafood, and contemporary American cuisine in an elegant, upscale setting. Located in downtown Salt Lake City, it offers hand‑cut, expertly prepared steaks, craft cocktails, and an award‑winning wine program, creating a polished dining experience for business and celebratory occasions.

Ideal candidate: 2 years of previous grill or broiler experience in a high‑volume restaurant environment. Strong knowledge of steak temperatures, grilling techniques, and proper food‑safety practices. Thrives in a fast‑paced, upscale kitchen, maintains attention to detail, and consistently delivers high‑quality, perfectly cooked dishes. Positive attitude, strong teamwork, and professional communication are essential.

• Effectively work grill line, ensuring foods are cooked and temped as requested
• Prepare food items according to designated recipes and quality standards
• Break down steaks, portion cuts, and prepare meats according to restaurant standards
• Maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation standards at all times
• Manage guest orders in a friendly, timely and efficient manner
• Ensure knowledge of menu and all food products
• Stock and maintain designated food station(s)
• Visually inspect all food sent from the kitchen
• Practice correct food handling and food storage procedures according to federal, state, local and company regulations
• Prepare requisitions for supplies and food items, as needed
