BOH Shift Lead (aka Kitchen Captain + Pie Perfectionist) We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Back of House Shift Lead to keep things running smooth, fast, and flavorful at MOZZ Artisan Pizza. You’ll lead the kitchen crew, own the flow of the shift, and make sure every pie that leaves the oven is top-tier.

This role is all about leadership in action—cooking, coaching, and stepping up when things get busy. Whether you’re managing labor, coordinating with FOH, or jumping on the line, you’re setting the tone and pace for the shift.

• Leading the BOH team through high‑energy shifts, keeping quality, speed, and standards on point
• Prepping, cooking, and plating pizzas with consistency and pride
• Training teammates and supporting strong kitchen habits
• Checking every pie before it hits the pass—quality + presentation are non‑negotiable
• Managing inventory and keeping the kitchen clean, stocked, and ready
• Overseeing labor during your shift to keep things efficient and on budget
• Jumping in to support FOH coordination if no FOH lead is present—teamwork makes the dream work
• Solving problems in the moment and keeping the vibe positive and professional
• Owning shift outcomes like a boss, especially when the BOH Manager or GM is off the clock

• Prior kitchen experience, with some leadership or shift lead time under your belt
• Solid understanding of food safety + sanitation
• Quick hands, cool head, and sharp attention to detail
• Comfortable managing tasks, people, and pace in a high‑volume setting
• Team‑first mindset with strong communication skills
