Job SummaryThe University of Utah is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Associate to join the lab of Dr. Maggie French. This position will involve collecting functional data about motor function, mood, and cognition from individuals with stroke using a variety of remote monitoring methods. These data will be used to understand complex relationships between these functional domains. Additionally, the remotely collected data will be integrated with clinical datasets to gain insight on the relationship of rehabilitation delivery and functional outcomes.
The research associate will be responsible for recruiting and enrolling participants, managing remote data collection, analyzing remotely collected and clinical data, disseminating findings through publications and presentations. It is expected that they will contribute to the development of research questions and analytical approaches for these data. It is also expected that the research associate will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of engineers, rehabilitation providers, and informaticians.
This position is patient-sensitive and the associate must fulfill all associated requirements prior to starting.
Postdoc
The candidate is required to have a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering, Rehabilitation Science, or a related field.
Applicants must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined in the position description.
PreferencesThe ideal candidate will have experience with wearable sensors and/or remote monitoring approaches and strong programming (e.g., R, Python, or similar) and writing skills.
