Overview
The Young Lab at the Huntsman Cancer Institute is seeking a highly motivated Research Scientist. We are a translational immunology laboratory that studies the immune response to cancer immunotherapies with the goal of engineering therapeutic strategies to enhance the immune system's ability to destroy cancer while minimizing immune-mediated toxicities (such as diabetes, colitis, and thyroid disorders). This role involves collaborative research using unique preclinical mouse models and clinical samples to improve mechanistic understanding of autoimmune and anti-tumor immune responses initiated by cancer immunotherapies.
Techniques include high-throughput sequencing (single cell RNA and TCR-sequencing), cytometry (spectral and flow), and histology. The position offers the opportunity to develop independent research within a dynamic team and mentorship for those transitioning to graduate or medical school. More information about the Young Lab is available at the website, and direct inquiries can be made to Dr. Arabella Young.
Huntsman Cancer Institute is committed to cancer prevention, care, and survivorship for all communities we serve, including Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Utah, and Wyoming, with impact worldwide.
