Job Summary
Provides research support for a number of projects spanning the field of immunopathology in the Evavold and Lamb Labs in the Department of Pathology, Division of Microbiology & Immunology. Performs technical procedures in these research laboratories under supervision by applying standard scientific techniques and analytical principles.
Responsibilities- Supervise the care of research mice; collect animal tissues and specimens for laboratory analysis. Perform dissections and minor animal surgery.
- Assist senior laboratory personnel with carrying out experimental procedures and recommend modifications as needed.
- Perform specialized tests and procedures using complex equipment.
- Procure/order supplies and materials needed to conduct research.
- Make statistical calculations, analyze data, and prepare reports summarizing results.
- Conduct literature reviews to obtain abstracts and information to be utilized in research.
