Overview
Lab Tech 1 intakes and registers samples and performs assigned daily tasks which allow for the analysis and recommendation to customers. Ensures accuracy and efficiency of testing processes.

Duties And Responsibilities- Retrieves mail and shipments of samples.
- Collect lab samples from shop, shipping, and parts locations across the campus.
- Sort and register samples into electronic systems to track corresponding lab data.
- Perform laboratory tests and procedures under the supervision of senior lab staff.
- Adhere to compliance, safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment.
- Perform daily cleaning of all work areas and instruments.
- Ensure the safe disposal of lab samples and products.
- Develop the ability to safely run the following equipment, perform the following tests:
Diluter, Viscometer, TBN, TAN, Waters, Coolants, and other tests as assigned. - Analyze samples according to established protocols.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Understanding of basic computer applications and willingness to learn new systems.

- Experience with or willing to learn laboratory procedures and equipment.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Able to stand at workstations for extended periods.
