Job description
This role is ideal for someone who “Loves Concrete” and thrives on precision, problem-solving, and continuous improvement in both quality and operations.
The Quality Control Technician is a key leader in ensuring the consistent production of high-quality volumetric ready-mixed concrete, overseeing the entire QA/QC process from mix design to final product inspection. This role ensures all products meet internal specifications and industry standards through rigorous testing, documentation, and field verification.
Starting pay $80K+ plus per year and will be dependent on level of experience.Health, Dental & Vision Insurance, PTO, 401k with company match, paid holidays and auto allowance.

- Lead QA/QC for ready-mixed concrete production
- Manage mix designs (Stonemont), batching accuracy, and compliance
- Perform inspections, testing, and documentation
- Ensure compliance with ACI, PCI, UDOT, and company standards
- Conduct job site visits and coach field staff
- Maintain QA/QC records and support audits
- Collaborate with operations, production, and maintenance teams
- Support scheduling, materials, and purchasing
- Train staff and assist with SOP development
- ACI Level 1 Field Technician Certification required or obtained upon hire
- Preferred certifications: PCI Levels I–III, UDOT, or similar industry credentials
- Knowledge of concrete production and quality standards
- Detail-oriented with strong documentation and reporting skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook);
Stonemont and Blue Beam a plus - Ability to work independently, collaborate across teams, and multitask
- High school diploma or GED required; technical education or related degree a plus
- Customer-focused, professional, and committed to continuous learning
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and lift up to 94 lbs
- Comfortable working in shop, yard, and construction site environments
- Able to work in varying weather, noise, and fast-paced conditions
- Willingness to work outside standard hours as needed
- CDL Class B preferred or willingness to obtain
- Clean driving record required
