Quality Assurance - QA/QC
The Report Specialist creates and compiles the company’s final product (report and/or letter) using preapproved templates that detail the testing performed at Nelson Laboratories, LLC (NL). This job is more complex than "data entry" and may require interpretation of data. The role balances quality, accuracy and timeliness by ensuring consistent, departmental focus across multiple tests.
General Responsibilities- Type, review, process, and correct all final report types.
- Prepare letters, preliminary results, and raw data as needed.
- Meet team quality expectations.
- Initiate and ensure amended/duplicate report requests are processed in a timely manner.
- Process template requests and continually improve FRTs for team efficiency.
- Act as a subject matter expert (SME) of the department and maintain strong knowledge of other departments.
- Recommend and advocate process improvements related to job quality and customer service.
- Anticipate new challenges and develop creative solutions.
- Recommend applicable process improvements.
- Develop creative solutions to new challenges.
- Communicate updates to managers to identify, prioritize, and review projects.
- Manage projects from start to completion.
- Follow applicable regulatory requirements (GMP, GLP, ISO, etc.).

The job operates in a professional office and laboratory environment, using standard office equipment. Personal protective equipment (lab coat, safety glasses, gloves, facemask) is required as applicable.
Physical RequirementsMust sit at a desk on a computer 95 % of the shift and stand or walk for the remaining time. Occasionally lift up to 10 lbs. Visual skills (accommodation, binocular vision) are required.
Education and ExperienceMinimum 18 years of age, High School Diploma or equivalent. Previous office and customer service experience preferred.
