Overview
Red Butte Garden and Arboretum is one of the largest botanical gardens in the Intermountain West, a regional center for plant-based science education, conservation and research, and cultural enrichment. The Garden cultivates an urban forestland of over 2,000 trees in 456 taxa on the University of Utah campus. It features over 20 acres of developed gardens, roughly five miles of hiking trails, and an extensive 80-acre natural area.
The Garden offers diverse plant collections, themed gardens, a mountain setting, garden education programs, outdoor concerts, and wellness activities. The Horticulture Department seeks seasonal horticulturists to care for outdoor themed gardens and Natural Areas and to work with a team passionate about botanical gardens and community.
