We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join the team at Eye Care for Animals in Salt Lake City, UT!

Eye Care for Animals is seeking a Full‑time Veterinary Technician to join our team in Salt Lake City, Utah. Practice hours are Monday – Friday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. A typical shift would be 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. with an average of 36–40 hours per week. This is a 9‑hour work day with a 4‑day work week. Hours may include after‑hours along with the opportunity to assist with equine appointments.

  • 2 years previous veterinary technician experience required
  • Proficient in IV catheter placement, blood work, and IV, IM, and SQ injections
  • Proficient in monitoring anesthesia and working with various monitoring equipment
  • Team player
  • Eager to learn and self‑motivated
  • Enjoys a challenging and fast‑paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi‑task with a smile
Job Overview

The Veterinary Technician is responsible for a variety of tasks related to customer service and patient care within the veterinary practice. Tasks include animal handling, pre‑ and post‑operative patient care, creating and presenting financial options and estimates, accurately entering service charges into the client processing database, extensive client interaction, and preparing medications. Hours may include after‑hours and/or on‑call responsibilities, which would include additional compensation.

Compensation is based on experience and skill set.
