Job specification

• Lead, mentor, and manage the nursing team in the Med-Surg unit, including hiring, training, scheduling, and evaluating staff performance.
• Ensure safe, high-quality, and patient-focused care in alignment with evidence-based practices.
• Oversee daily unit operations, including staffing, budget management, and resource allocation.
• Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and excellence in patient care.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, state and federal regulations, and Joint Commission standards.

Candidate requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required;
  Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or healthcare leadership preferred.
• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Utah.
• A minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership or management role within a med-surg setting.
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
