Job Description
Chamberlain College of Nursing seeks Part-Time Clinical Instructors interested in teaching students in our Bachelor of Science in Nursing program located in the Salt Lake City, UT area.
You will be mentoring students in person at an inpatient clinical setting. You’ll connect classroom and simulation learning to real-world patient care on-site, ensuring students are well-prepared and confident in delivering high-quality care.
Candidates with a completed MSN are encouraged to apply — teaching experience is not required.
Clinicals are scheduled in a healthcare facility in the Salt Lake City, UT area.
We are presently accepting applications to meet potential future need in the following areas of specialization:
Mental Health Psychiatric Nursing:
Inpatient clinical skills and procedures focusing on anxiety, self-concept, thought disorders, mood alterations, addictive behaviors, organic brain dysfunction, abuse, and violence issues.
Pediatric Nursing:
Inpatient clinical skills and procedures with a focus on family-centered care of children, from infancy through adolescence.
Maternal OB Nursing:
Labor & Delivery unit focus on family-centered maternal/newborn care, health promotion, wellness, and the childbearing cycle including normal experiences, high-risk factors, complications, and alterations.
Complex Adult Health Critical Care:
Inpatient care of adults with unstable emergent critical illnesses, integrating nursing, technology, and clinical judgment for diverse populations.
Community Public Health Nursing:
Outpatient clinic focus on the public/community health nurse’s role as a partner with the community to shape conditions supportive of health, using the nursing process beginning with community health assessment.
Capstone Final Clinical:
Final clinical before graduation focusing on trends, professional nursing issues, and experiential-based practice, with emphasis on ethical, legal, and evidence-based care.
Responsibilities- Teaching and Curriculum Implementation
- Implement the College’s philosophy, curriculum, program outcomes, and course objectives through clinical teaching and service.
- Plan clinical experiences and provide direct supervision and evaluation of nursing students.
- Student Evaluation and Support
- Develop and post written clinical assignments aligned with students’ knowledge and learning needs.
- Evaluate and provide documented feedback on performance based on course objectives.
- Be available for remediation as required.
- Correct and return homework, quizzes, tests, lab assignments, clinical paperwork, and other written work in a timely manner.
- Clinical Coordination
- Orient and maintain current knowledge of clinical site policies with site personnel.
