Registered Nurse Manager – Behavioral Health Unit (Inpatient Facility)
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Registered Nurse Manager to lead our Behavioral Health Unit at LDS Hospital. The Nurse Manager is responsible for overseeing daily clinical operations, ensuring high-quality patient care, and guiding a multidisciplinary team in a supportive and therapeutic environment.

This 256-bed facility is located just minutes from downtown Salt Lake City and is integrated with Intermountain’s Life Flight air ambulance and Tele Health Hospital.
The hospital also services southern Davis County and Tooele County out to the Utah / Nevada state line.

- Oversee the Behavioral Health department, which includes our in-patient general unit (28 beds), high acuity unit (12 beds), in-patient medical detox unit (12 beds), and nursing access center. Total department size: 52 beds.
- Approximately 130 direct reports for this manager.
- Supported by a full-time RN Assistant Manager and a clinical nurse leadership group that supports quality improvement.
- The Nurse Manager owns the operations of the department 24/7. On‑site presence is expected 5 days a week, generally Monday through Friday.
- Business hours are generally 8:00 AM–5:00 PM; the nurse manager has flexibility to coordinate schedules with their director to support evening and weekend staff.
- Engagement with staff to ensure a nursing voice in practice is of top priority for this department.

Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution (degree will be verified).
- Current Nursing License to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice. Valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of the start of employment.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.
- Leadership/supervisory experience.
- Must complete Intermountain Health’s required leadership training and development courses within one year of accepting this leadership position.
- 2 years clinical experience.
- Specialty Certification.
- Demonstrated experience in the area of oversight.
- Ongoing need to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.
- Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require verbal communication as well as hearing and understanding spoken information, alarms, needs and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.
