Overview
About The Role Step into a lead role that keeps our bakery production moving. You’ll guide a skilled crew of material handlers, operate and train on multiple forklift classes (sit-down, stand-up, and reach trucks), and ensure ingredients and packaging reach the lines safely, accurately, and on time. The work spans ambient, refrigerated, and frozen zones down to
-10°F, with a sharp focus on GMP, food safety, and quality.

Reports To: Supply Chain Manager
A day in the lifeYour shift begins with a walk-through of dry, chilled, and freezer storage. You’ll review production orders in SAP, stage raw materials, and verify receipts in our paperless system. As lines ramp up, you’re coaching operators, reinforcing safety and GMPs, and jumping on equipment as needed. Throughout the day you’ll coordinate parcel deliveries, manage returns of unused materials, and keep the warehouse spotless and audit-ready.
Before handoff, you’ll reconcile inventory movements and ensure every pallet is labeled, stored, and documented correctly.
- Leadership & Team Development:
Lead, train, and coach the Material Handling team on safety, SOPs, and GMP standards; maintain Train-the-Trainer forklift certification to deliver ongoing equipment training; address performance issues and escalate to the Supply Chain Manager when appropriate; cultivate teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement. - Material Flow & Inventory Control:
Safely operate sit-down, stand-up, and reach forklifts along with pallet jacks, hand trucks, and scissor lifts; stage materials per production orders; oversee paperless receiving—inspection, labeling, documentation; manage returns of unused materials with proper labeling and reporting; maintain ambient/chilled/frozen storage per Bridor protocols; execute SAP transactions for receipts, stock movements, and inventory adjustments. - Compliance & Safety Excellence:
Uphold GMP, hygiene, and food safety procedures; participate in GMP/HACCP/Radley/SAP trainings and audits; keep work areas clean, safe, and organized; coordinate incoming parcel deliveries as needed. - Additional Support:
Take on other duties as assigned to support warehouse and production operations.
- Forklifts: reach, stand-up (dock stocker/counterbalance), and sit-down
- Warehouse technologies: SAP and Radley (paperless transactions)

- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year in a leadership role
- At least 2 years of forklift experience, including sit-down, stand-up, and reach trucks
- Hands-on experience with pallet jacks, hand trucks, and scissor lifts
- Strong leadership, decisiveness, initiative, and problem-solving ability
- Teamwork, collaboration, adaptability, and organizational skills
- Proficiency with Outlook, Word, Excel, SAP, and Radley
- Knowledge of stock rotation, GMPs, HACCP, and BRC standards
- Forklift Train-the-Trainer certification (maintained)
- Stand or sit for extended periods with minimal breaks
- Lift up to 50 lbs without mechanical assistance
- Work in cold environments from 40°F to
-10°F (freezer, coolers) and occasionally outdoors in heat, cold, rain, snow, or wind - Read and record data from thermometers, LCD screens, truck seals, and related equipment
- Day, evening, night shifts, and weekends as needed
