Overview

Hunt Electric, Inc. and Instrument Control Center (ICC) of Salt Lake City, UT is searching for a full-time Panel Technician to join our Instrument Control Division. This person reports to the Operations Manager and assists in the production of Instrument Control Panels. Attention to detail and following step-by-step instructions will lead to a successful panel build out.

Major Duties
  • Building industrial control panels.
  • Ability to read schematics and diagrams for installation of parts, wire, and components.
  • Learn to test and troubleshoot with a meter for accuracy.
  • Become knowledgeable of UL 508A standards and practices.
  • Become knowledgeable of wire types and sizes.
  • Learn the National Electric Code (NEC).
  • Learn electrical fundamentals.
  • Maintain appropriate work appearance:
    • Work pants worn in a conventional manner with no tears.
    • Work boots.
  • Proficient in basic math (algebra).
  • Possess knowledge of basic hand tools and ability to use and care for them.
  • Ability to learn to route wires neatly.
  • Other duties or locations as assigned by Manager.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Strong reading comprehension, attention to detail and organized.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs to 100 lbs.
  • Ability to be punctual and dependable.
  • Must be willing to work overtime and/or weekends when needed.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to route wires neatly.
  • Proficient in basic math (algebra).
  • Proficient in all types of measuring tools as required.
  • Proficient in using computers to obtain and document information.

Schedule

This is a full-time position with a typical working schedule of Monday - Thursday, 6:00 am - 4:30 pm, off on Fridays.
