Wastewater Treatment Operator

Your Role

As a Wastewater Treatment Operator you will ensure the safe and efficient operation of our 20 GPM wastewater treatment system. This role focuses on pH neutralization and metal separation, supporting environmental compliance and smooth production flow. The ideal candidate is proactive, technically skilled, and committed to maintaining high-quality operational standards in a fast-paced plating environment.

• Operate and monitor the wastewater treatment system, including pH adjustment, neutralization, metal precipitation, and flocculation.
• Manage chemical feed systems, transfer pumps, filter press, reaction and holding tanks, and associated piping.
• Conduct routine sampling, testing, and documentation of pH, metals, and TSS; adjust chemical dosing as needed.
• Maintain accurate logs of flows, chemical usage, and system performance.
• Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on treatment equipment.
• Safely handle treatment chemicals, following PPE protocols and safety procedures.
• Coordinate with production staff to manage wastewater flow and system loading.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations.

• Previous experience operating industrial wastewater or chemical treatment systems preferred.
• Strong understanding of pH adjustment, metal precipitation, and flocculation processes.
• Knowledge of environmental regulations and chemical safety practices.
• Ability to perform routine testing, data recording, and equipment maintenance.
• Detail-oriented, reliable, and capable of working independently and collaboratively.
• Technical training or certification in wastewater treatment a plus.
